Well, it's that time of year again. Time to start thinking and planning about all-things Comic-Con. For those of you that don't know, or haven't heard about the San Diego Comic-Con
It's only the largest Comic -Fanboy Convention in Northern America!!!
take a deep breath Lori...."Margaret Thatcher naked, on a cold day"

10 years ago, I had never heard of Comic-Con. Clay is a huge Fanboy! He's been reading and collecting comics for the better part of 25 years. Not just comics, but "action figures" and "statues" too. Before Clay and I married, we took a family vacation to San Diego which included the Comic-Con. Clay, myself, Trey (8), Spenner (6) and my best friend Russell, all piled into Clay's SUV for the road trip of our lives. We made the trip in 24 hours straight through. This turned out to be the BEST VACATION EVER for all involved. I was awakened by Clay the first morning of Comic-Con to the sight of Gambit on bended knee holding an engagement ring in front of Rogue. Written on a hotel towel were the words: "Loli, I Love You, Will you marry me"? sigh, how friggin' romantic is that? In case you are wondering, I said "Yes". Five minutes later Clay was out the door and on to the convention and I didn't see him again for almost 4 days. I truly think he had a "Chubby" the whole time. He did take Spenner with him to the convention for a day. Spen got to meet his hero "Spawn". He was really excited about that. Spen also mentioned being creeped-out at the sight of (in his own words) 70 year old Xena. (People tend to dress up in costume) Anyhoo, when Sunday rolled around and Comic-Con had come to an end, we loaded the SUV and headed to Las Vegas, where Elvis walked me down the aisle and I became Mrs. Clay Harrison. It was simply magical. It was fun. Everyone still talks about that vacation and how it was the best ever.

Since Comic-Con 2007 will mark our 10th wedding anniversary, we are planning another magical vacation. This one will be without the boys (tear), but Clay and I never did get to have a honeymoon...We have reserved a room in the same hotel and are planning on heading to Las Vegas for a couple of days after the Comic-Con.
Simply magical.
